Get ready to immerse yourself in the vibrant sounds of jazz in the beautiful "Artists' Town." From June 12th to 14th, 2026, Kirkcudbright will come alive with swinging rhythms, soulful blues, and world-class performances.
Whether you're looking for a single gig or a full weekend pass, we have a variety of ticket options to suit your schedule.
Seonaid Aitken Quintet: Grappelli & Ella Award-winning violinist and vocalist Seonaid Aitken leads her quintet in a stunning two-part show. Celebrating the centenary legacies of Stéphane Grappelli and Ella Fitzgerald, Seonaid brings her Guildhall-trained virtuosity and "Best Vocalist" (Scottish Jazz Awards) pedigree to the stage.
Mike Daly’s Rhythm Kings: A festival favorite, Mike Daly’s Rhythm Kings are masters of traditional jazz and swing. Known for their infectious energy and tight arrangements, they represent the very best of the UK’s classic jazz scene.
The Red Stripe Band; Described by Jazz FM as "the closest thing to Jools Holland and his band," this seven-piece group is a whirlwind of boogie-woogie, jive, and rock’n’roll. Expect a foot-stomping, high-energy performance that never fails to bring the house down.
The Jake Leg Jug Band: Transporting you to the prohibition-era USA, the Jake Leg Jug Band delivers authentic 1920s and 30s jazz, blues, and ragtime. With over a decade on the road and 10 acclaimed albums, their "feel-good" vintage sound is a must-see.
Chicago Teddybears Society Jazz Band: A Manchester institution since the 1970s, the "Teddybears" deliver a sophisticated repertoire ranging from New Orleans to mainstream jazz. Their lively and entertaining style has made them a staple at festivals across the UK and Europe for nearly 50 years.
The Roaring Twenties: Step back into the Jazz Age with this ensemble dedicated to the glitz and glamour of the 1920s. Their sets are a nostalgic journey through the decade that defined the genre.
Special Collaboration: The All-Star Themed Gigs Don’t miss this incredible collective—Martin Litton (pno), Bill Jones (tmb), John Hallam & Martin Foster (reeds), Mike Daly (cnt), John Fenner (gtr, bjo), and Roy Percy (bass)—as they band together for special themed performances celebrating the music of:
Fats Waller & Jelly Roll Morton
